After the first few classes with trainer Anna Claire, I felt completely at ease and knew she was there to help me accomplish my goals. Anna Claire spent time in each class ensuring I had proper form and appropriate weights for my skill level (which I will admit was embarrassingly low when I first started). Not only did she raise my confidence with patience and time she raised my skill level as well. To this day, I surprise myself with what I am able to accomplish without ever feeling pressured. I’m very thankful I found a trainer that instilled confidence in me in an area I thought was just ‘never going to be my thing.’

As a seventy-seven year old grandmother of grand children who are 7 years old, 4 years old, and 7 months old, I want to be able to play actively with them as long as possible. I feel that my training with Anna Claire is helping me to do so. I feel my balance, flexibility and strength have improved over her so capable, knowledgeable, considerate and patient instruction. She watches and instructs on-line as if present. Asking where I feel the movement, telling which muscles are being targeted, check how I am breathing and feeling. Correcting when I’m not in the correct position or not feeling appropriate muscles. My breathing is better, my balance is better, my ability to get up and down from floor mat easier, my ability to use weights (moving from 3 pound weights to 5 pound weights) is better. I feel stronger and happier.

I started to attend personal training classes with Anna Claire two times a week, and I am happy to say it has greatly impacted my life. From pushing me to go harder when I didn’t think I could to correcting my form, my stability is almost better than it was before my broken ankle. Additionally, Anna Claire really helps me to understand my body better and how to stretch out when I am sore or tight, which has benefitted me outside of the gym. I eventually found that I am not training to be skinnier, and due to that realization, I feel empowered. I feel strong, and my goals are now to be fit and healthy, to be stronger and faster than I was the day before, and to just keep moving forward.

At 53 years old, formerly buff amateur body builder with considerable injuries caused from years of working out (with trainers) resulting in chronic pain; ACL replacements in both knees and a rotator cuff injury, I was apprehensive about joining a class at a serious gym with kettlebells, barbell classes, etc. I am writing this review to say, I am a CONVERT! I joined a class with Anna Claire Loper and was separated from the class since I was a beginner and I had mentioned the injuries and my concerns. She was able to give me customized exercises to do while still being part of the class. Anna Claire watched me carefully and made corrections to my form which were immediately noticeable. I kept checking to see if I felt any pain and when I did not, I started to relax and have a good time. I felt challenged and exhilarated knowing that I can really work out again.

I chose AC to prepare me for the SFG 1 because as a fitness professional we need outside eyes as feedback sometimes. Her attention to form and detail was evident from the first workout. She customised my programme to fit my needs and was super supportive every step of the way. I saw drastic improvements within the first 2 weeks of training. I'd recommend her to anyone.

Over two years ago I took a chance and signed up as a new student at KG Strong. It was outside my comfort zone but I needed to move my body and had lost my exercise routine. I was an immediate fan of AC. She is warm and welcoming. AC got that I was all in but sometimes need to back off or modify so I can keep coming back to the work. AC has helped me learn I can push myself safely and further than I ever thought thanks to her smart instruction and keen eye for alignment. AC’s classes are fun, full of smart cues and encouragement and are interwoven with her own constant learning.

Anna Claire is super smart at what she does. She has an incredible depth of knowledge about how bodies function, she thinks about the whole body, not just one body part at a time, and is very honest also about the limitations of her expertise and profession. She also really understands what it means to be a coach, in the full sense of the word, how it is not just about the physical but also about the emotional and the psychological and how they all intersect and impact each other. She doesn't just tell me what to do so that I engage and strengthen certain muscles in a certain way, she gets behind my mind being fully engaged with what I am doing, why I am doing it, and in line with goals she helped me articulate for myself. She thoughtfully challenges me to go just beyond what I am able to motivate myself to do, and within very safe boundaries. Often when I do some physical activity on my own in between our sessions, I have these "aha" moments where something new synthesized in my body and mind from what we did in a previous session, and at my next session she is all ears, ready and eager to hear all I have to say about. She always takes my questions and new reflections seriously. Working with her for the past 4 months has completely transformed my relationship to my body and exercise. I have been dealing with chronic pain for the past 16 years of my life and basically resigned at times to assuming I would have to just deal with certain limitations in what I can do. She is fully confident in my ability to use my body the way that I want, and is backing me each step of the way to be in full charge of my body.
